ISO 9001 (Quality Management System, QMS) – is a collection of international standards, which describe the requirements for a quality management system of organizations and enterprises.

In other words - this is the management techniques when we divide business processes and efficiently manage all of them. The quality management system exists in any enterprise, along with other systems. QMS should comply with the international level, market requirements and internal requirements of ISO 9001 - the most common quality management standard in the world.

International Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001 is reviewed every five years in order to maintain the relevance. At present, Russia has got a new standard GOST R ISO 9001-2015.

It should be noted that the new standard has positioned also as a business management system, not only the quality as the previous one. It can be used by the corporation in order to optimize its operation, increase the value of the enterprise, minimize risks and to control the documentation.

ISO 9001 certificate is not an approval document but confirming. It confirms that the organization has got a working quality management system, which has a positive effect on the functioning of the enterprise notwithstanding external or internal changes.

One of the main advantages of registration of QMS ISO certificate in certification body included in the Unified Register, is the possibility of its further use in the confirmation of the compliance of products with requirements of technical regulations of the Customs Union *.

* In accordance with paragraph 18 of the Regulation on procedures for application of the model schemes of assessment (confirmation) of compliance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union, approved by the Decision of the Customs Union Commission dated April 7, 2011 № 621, conformity confirmation in the form of certification is carried out by an accredited body on certification, accredited body on certification of management systems, included in the Unified Register of certification bodies and testing laboratories (centers) of the Customs Union.
